When to use “Insert sitecore link”

Insert Sitecore Link offers a simple means to link to any item within the connected Sitecore Projects (sites). Need to change or add an internal link? Don’t right-click; this will open Hyperlink Manager, and leave you without the ability to search for content. Instead, use this option.

 

When to use “Hyperlink Manager”

Hyperlink Manager is most ideal for external, email, or anchor links. It doesn’t offer the ability to search the various Sitecore Project buckets, and can leave an content editor frustrated when trying to simply link directly to an internally hosted page. Right-clicking an existing link will open Hyperlink Manager.
